We started cooperative development with NHK Enterprise

Together with NHK Enterprise, we have started developing a super 35VR lens which will make 7K360VR possible.
For camera, we will be usinRED WEAPON HELIUM 8K.
We will be releasing sample footage and other interesting information later so you have a lot to look forward to.

2017.2.21 Start of the project

start

Since Entaniya Fisheye 250 HAL and RED WEAPON HELIUM 8K have different lens mount models, it's not possible to attach the lens just like that.

We started the project by attaching Entaniya Fisheye 250 HAL 3.6mm to the EF mount of RED WEAPON HELIUM.

2017.3.17 Blueprints completed

In order to make Entaniya Fisheye 250 HAL compatible with EF Mount, we created new blueprints of the lens.

2017.4.6 Purchase of EF Mount Adapter

start

We experimented with the lens designed for EF Mount even before the lens was finished.

For these preceding experiments we purchased Canon Mount Adapter Simple Canon Mount (Epic/Scarlet) for RED made by WOODEN CAMERA from Digital Hobb.

If using this Mount Adapter, it's possible to attach Entaniya Fisheye 250 HAL to RED WEAPON HELIUM 8K.

2017.4.16 Test shooting

Using the adapter explained above, we attached Entaniya Fisheye 250 HAL to RED WEAPON HELIUM 8K and performed a test shooting.

2017.4.18 Creating a rig for VR shooting

start bolt

Since you need at least 2 cameras in order to take 360VR, we designed a new rig for fixing the cameras.

Using this rig makes it possible to arrange the cameras Side by Side.

We also had screws made specially just for this project.

2017.5.1 Confirmation of mounting condition of the rig.

We checked the mounting condition with the rig outputted by the 3D printer.

test

2017.6.2 Processed the mount adapter.

mount

We have processed the mount adapter.

2017.6.5 The rig is completed.

The rig for mounting RED WEAPON HELIUM 8K with Side by Side is completed.
